I'm in the process of moving my stuff from my current room to the room upstairs (which is a small part of the reason I haven't been posting much). Needless to say my room is a mess and everything is everywhere. I keep putting things that I might need to find soon for something important (like my passport) in my purse. This is becoming a problem because it's hard to find my keys.
Because I'm having to go through all my clothes-books-junk and because upstairs is smaller, I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff. A lot of trash, a lot of Goodwill, and even some for Half-Price Books (I scored $22 at HPB yesterday!). It's tough to look at everything you own and still claim to be not materialistic. I have so much stuff. And I'm young and don't have a house. Everybody has too much stuff. There are storage units full of everything people don't have room for. Why do I think I need all this stuff? There is no reason I should feel noble limiting myself to 18 pairs of shoes—that's how many fit on my shoe rack. No one should even need a shoe rack. I have a stack of shirts for working out and painting. Face it, I don't work out that much, and I paint even less.
What's the point of this rant. I don't know. Get up from your computer. Go to your closet. Get rid of something. You don't need it. You won't miss it.
